As an Alumni of SBCUSD, Kayla Schrock has taught in Special Education since 2007. Teaching Mild to Moderate Special Day, Inclusion and a Resource Specialist for students grades sixth through eighth. Within the classroom, she worked collaboratively with General Education Teachers to establish an Inclusive model through Co-Teaching and utilizing UDL Strategies. As a Point of Contact, she works with school sites to support and ensure that Inclusive Cultures are established for all students. In the 2023-24 school year, she worked as the Point of Contact for Home/Hospital Program, maintained inclusive opportunities for students within Sub Acute, supported all Middle Schools, Barton, Del Rosa and Bradley Elementary. She has also continued working as a Lead of the SEIS Taskforce to build capacity in IEP compliance and writing legally defensible IEPs. This year, she looks forward to continue in supporting Middle Schools and working within the SEIS Task Force.
